Once passed in the House of Assembly, public statutes apply to all citizens of the Province of Nova Scotia. Local and private acts, however, only apply to specific individuals, groups, organizations, or areas.
The print indexes to the local and private acts are found in the loose-leaf Statutes of Nova Scotia. This online version mirrors the print with separate indexes covering specific date ranges. When new private or local acts are passed, they are added to the loose-leaf index.
Local and private acts are not consolidated.
